Former Remo Stars and Enyimba manager, Fatai Osho, has joined the coaching crew of Rivers United ahead of the new Nigeria Professional Football League season.
Osho replaces Ndubuisi Nduka, who was promoted to the role of a Technical Director by the CAF Champions League campaigners.
This was contained in a statement released by the club on its official Facebook page and signed by its media officer, Charles Mayuku.
“We’re delighted to announce Fatai Osho has joined the club as our Chief Coach,”
“Fatai replaces Ndubuisi Nduka who has been elevated to the office of Technical Director.” The club statement said.
Osho's contract was not renewed at the end of last season at Enyimba after leading the People’s Elephant to a third-place finish in the NPFL last season.
The erstwhile Remo Stars coach Osho spent two seasons at Enyimba, guiding the two-time African champions to back-to-back quarter-final appearances in the CAF Confederation Cup.
As Chief Coach of Rivers United, Osho is expected to serve as an assistant to Technical Manager Stanley Eguma.
