Jude Aneke, an ex-Nigeria Professional Football League top player, is setting his hopes on Odion Ighalo to make a return to European football after his side Changchun Yatai in the Chinese Super League were relegated.
The Super Eagles striker is set to attract massive interest from Chinese clubs and Europe as the January transfer window is nearing.
Aneke said that he feels the Former Watford star should make his way back to Europe if he receives good offers because of the quality football he plays.
He also added that despite the monetary value of playing for some of the clubs, Odion is that good of a player and that the fans deserve to see players of this calibre every playing day.
“He is a good striker. We're talking about the top scorer in the 2019 AFCON qualifiers but I feel his career will improve even further if he plays in Europe again. It may necessarily not be in England.
“The monetary side is great but also is the football even though playing in the Chinese league cannot be criteria for his involvement in Nigeria's games.
“We just want to see our best players every weekend in a top league,” he said.
