Kwadwo Asamoah has pulled out of international duty with Ghana for the game against Ethiopia due to a recurrent knee injury the Ghanaian FA have confirmed.
The Inter midfielder suffered a swollen knee after their defeat away to Atalanta over the weekend.
The 29-year-old would not be available for Ghana's Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Ethiopia in Addis Ababa.
According to officials of Inter, Asamoah's condition has been intermittent and there is the need to seek urgent medical attention.
Asamoah has 70 caps for the Black Stars with his last appearance coming in their 1-0 defeat to Kenya in African Cup Of Nations qualifiers back in August.
The player joined Inter on a free transfer in the summer and has been one of the most consistent members of the squad.
