Liverpool star Gini Wijnaldum has rejected a new contract by the club, according to reports.
The Dutchman has been locked in talks with the club for over a year now but the two parties are still yet to reach an agreement.
Wijnaldum has started Jurgen Klopp's two Premier League matches so far and there is little suggestion that he is unsettled.
Football Insider claim that Wijnaldum has rejected the club's latest offer of a new deal.
Wijnaldum is believed to be holding out for a contract that runs until at least 2024.
But it appears the Anfield hierarchy are not prepared to commit to a long-term deal on improved wages considering the player turns 30 in November.
Klopp revealed earlier this month that he has held several meetings with the 29-year-old to discuss his future.
He said: “Since Gini is here, I think I have had five, six hundred talks with him so that is always the same, nothing else to say about that.’’
