Manchester City's new signing Jack Grealish has been spotted celebrating his move by visiting new manager Pep Guardiola’s restaurant.
The England man became the most expensive Englishman and Premier League player ever after City splashed out to meet his whopping buy-out clause, set by Aston Villa with the expectation that no team would match it.
Grealish has been seen at Guardiola’s Tast Cuina Catalana restaurant in Manchester City centre, where he was sneaked out the back door.
His departure from Villa for the Abu Dhabi-backed giants has been met with mixed responses, with some fans wishing their former talisman the best after years of servitude while others are less understanding.
The former Aston Villa captain on the other hand thanked fans for their support during his 19 years at the club where he has been a fan his ‘whole life’.
He wrote on social media: “Every time I put on the Villa shirt I played with my heart on my sleeve.
“I'll always be a Villa fan. I love this club with all my heart and I hope you understand my reasons for seeking a new challenge.”
