Manchester City face Tottenham Hotspur in north London on Sunday afternoon in the Premier League.
But a couple of players will not be available for the reigning Premier League champions boss Pep Guardiola.
Spurs do have a good recent record against City, especially at home.
With that said, Nuno Espirito Santo’s chances of starting his reign with a win could be boosted with the news that Kevin De Bruyne is doubtful for the champions.
“He is getting better,” Guardiola explained at his pre-match press conference. “Every day he is getting better, but we are still waiting.
“He can’t do a full training session. Some with us, some alone.
“We will see in the next few days.”
Unlike the Belgium international, Phil Foden has been ruled out of the meeting with Spurs.
Therefore Guardiola will certainly be without one of his key Man City players for their trip to the capital.
Although, it’s not all bad news for the Spaniard.
Despite Raheem Sterling, John Stones, Kyle Walker, Ederson and Gabriel Jesus are all in contention to face the Lilywhites.
“They came back really well,” he added. “The sun and rest, they produce a good effect for them. They came back really good.
“Everyone is ready. The important thing is when they come back they have good energy, the right energy.
“We need more time, but it is what it is. We travel to London to get a good result.”
