Manchester United have reportedly been given the go-ahead to complete a £65 million deal for Leicester's Harry Maguire this summer.
According to the Daily Star, United are confident that they can complete a deal at the end of the season after missing out on his signature last summer.
The defender was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford after the World Cup in Russia and the club have clearly maintained their interest in Maguire.
Maguire is believed to be keen on the idea of making the move, as he sets out his ambitions to play in Europe and compete for major honours going forward.
The report suggests the player is also aware that he would be in line for a big wage hike, should he make the move United.
Harry Maguire’s contract at Leicester runs until 2023, so he will not come cheaply, but United are clearly keen as they look to give a face-lift to their backline.
