The January transfer window may bring some difficult times for Crystal Palace in their fight to keep hold of £80million-rated Wilfried Zaha, that’s according to boss Roy Hodgson.
Zaha was once again the club’s star man against Brighton on Monday night, rescuing a point for his side with a stunning late equaliser.
Up until that point, Palace had been way below-par and outplayed by their rivals, with a moment of magic from their tricky winger turning the game on its head.
But Hodgson admits that come January, the Ivory Coast international is likely to get some attention from bigger clubs.
Speaking after Monday’s 1-1 draw, he said: ”I’m counting on Wilf, I’m delighted to be working with Wilf but when the transfer window is coming around I can never say exactly what will happen.
”I will have to adjust, as will the club, to anything that comes our way.”
Chelsea are one club to have been linked with Zaha, now that their transfer ban has been reduced and they will be free to sign players again.
