How Tuchel Plans To Scupper Man Utd Transfer Plans Revealed

Thomas Tuchel is set to be appointed the new Chelsea boss with the Blues having sacked Frank Lampard on Monday.

And according to Bild, he is keen to sign RB Leipzig star Dayot Upamecano this summer, with the 22-year-old regularly linked with a move to the Premier League.

Manchester United and Liverpool are both believed to be keen in the centre-back, though Tuchel has reportedly always been a big fan.

Bild add that Tuchel has an advantage as he speaks fluent French, while Chelsea ace Timo Werner played with Upamecano at RB Leipzig.

Despite the big spending from Chelsea in the summer, it’s claimed that Roman Abramovich is still willing to splash out again.

The French star is expected to leave Leipzig this summer, and had previously spoken about a potential departure.

Upamecano had said during last summer's transfer window: “For the moment I am with Leipzig but it is true that I was able to discuss with certain clubs.
