Ifeanyi Matthew To Quit Norway’s Lillestrom

Former Kano Pillars star Ifeanyi Matthew has reportedly indicated interest in quitting Norway after two years, but GoalBall gathered that so far there have not been any offers for the Lillestrom star from outside that country.

The 21-year-old has stalled on a “Dream transfer” to Norwegian league and cup double winners Rosenborg.

Rosenborg are understood to be standing by to fork out two million Euroson the 2016 CHAN Super Eagles star.

Molde, who finished as runners-up in the Norwegian top-flight this past season, are also rumoured to be interested in the central midfielder, who still has two years left on his contract at perennial relegation battlers Lillestrom.

“The player wants to leave Norway, but so far there has not been any offer in that direction,” a source informed.

“Let's wait and see what happens in January when the transfer window in Europe reopens.”

Like the 2017 season, Matthew played every minute of the 30 league matches by Lillestrom this past term.
