Manchester United will host Watford in the Premier League fixture on Sunday afternoon as former Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo searches for his first goal at the club.
Ighalo is set to make his first appearance for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side since joining the club last month.
The Nigerian scored 16 goals in 55 Premier League appearances for Watford between 2015-2017 before pursuing a career in the Chinese Super League.
The Man Utd forward was not anticipating another chance to play in English football, never mind with the side he supports but is set to fulfil his dream this weekend.
Not only will he get to play on the hallowed turf as a United player, but Ighalo could equal a goal record held by Frank Lampard too.
This weekend the boyhood United fan could become the first player to score on their first home Premier League appearance for a club, having previously played for the opponents in the competition, since Frank Lampard did so for Man City against Chelsea in September 2014.
The Red Devils have won all six of their PL games against Watford at home, scoring 14 goals and conceding just two.
