Newly invited Super Eagles defender, Calvin Bassey has expressed delight to be back in Nigeria ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against the Central Africa Republic.
The Glasgow Rangers star was among the early arrivals that stormed the Super Eagles on Monday.
The 21-year-old Glasgow Rangers left-back is joining the three-time African champions for the first time.
“Hello, Nigerians, good to be back home,” the Italian-born defender said in a short video posted on the Nigeria Football Federation Facebook page.
The former Leicester City defender will compete with Pederbon of Germany defender Jamilu Collins for a place in the starting eleven.
