Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi has expressed joy as he was fielded as Everton's no.10 against West Ham at Goodison Park.
Marco Silva made sweeping changes to the Toffees squad that defeated the Hammers 2-0 last weekend and the 23-year-old was played as an attacking midfielder.
Iwobi had incredible stats in that role – creating two chances and completed 82.8 per cent of 24 passes in West Ham's half.
The Nigerian international had often been drafted into the left-wing position this season but he was handed the role of a playmaker in their game against Manuel Pellegrini's side.
”The manager told me try to get the team going forward as quickly as possible but also keep the ball and create chances and I felt I would be able to do that.
”That position is where I have grown up playing and where I feel most comfortable.
”I will play wherever I am told to but I really enjoyed it today,” Iwobi told Everton's official website.
Iwobi lost out on the man-of-the-match award to Yerry Mina after making his fourth Premier League start for the Merseyside club.
