Jamie Vardy Makes Shocking Revelations To Guardiola on How Man City Were Thrashed

Leicester roasted Manchester City 5-2 at The Etihad to deliver one of the biggest shocks of the Premier League season so far, as Jamie Vardy bagged a hat-trick against Liverpool’s title rivals.

City boss Guardiola grumbled that Leicester “just wanted to defend” after his side's shock 5-2 humbling at The Etihad.

But Hat-trick hero Jamie Vardy told Pep Guardiola his Manchester City side were thrashed by “perfect tactics.”

And the last season's Golden Boot winner reckons Guardiola and his men walked into a perfect game plan and paid the price.

The 33-year-old hitman told LCFC TV: “We came with a game plan and I think if you look at the performance, it's worked perfectly for how we wanted to play.

“That’s one thing that you know is going to happen when you when you come to place like this, you don't have as much of the ball as you'd like and that's why we set up a bit deeper.

“I was in there to try and frustrate Rodri, not letting him have the ball as much to create anything.”

Vardy added: “And when we get the ball back, then it's just about getting a few passes, breaking through their press and then you’re straight onto their back line.

“So, I think tactics-wise, we've played it perfect. Like I said, to come away with five goals, three points, it’s brilliant.”
