Real Madrid have reportedly shown interest in having their former manager José Mourinho, who was recently sacked by Manchester United, back in the club.
The Real management has contacted the Portuguese football specialist, El País reported.
The Meringues, however, plan to appoint Mourinho club manager solely after July 1, 2019, so as not to pay the €5mn compensation fee to Man United.
The manager has been promised transfer power at Real Madrid and a net annual salary of €20 million.
Mourinho, 55, is yet to respond to the offer.
