Esperance of Tunisia Officially Welcome Junior Lokosa

Junior Lokosa signs for Esperance of Tunisia

Junior Lokosa has reportedly been officially received at Esperance of Tunisia, as the African champions put the seal on a two-and-half-year with the striker.

The deal, which is expected to take Lokosa to Esperance from Kano Pillars, was formally announced Monday afternoon by the Tunis-based side, who stated that they were glad to welcome the attacker.

The Nigeria Professional Football League top scorer, who is billed to be presented to the fans when Esperance take on US Ben Guerdane on Tuesday, follows The Blood & Gold club's long list of Nigerians who have played for the squad over the years.

Among those Lokosa will now hope to outshine as Esperance's array of Nigerian players are Julius Aghahowa, Michael Eneramo, Gabriel Okolosi and Garba Lawal.

The star missed out, by a hair's breadth, on the Super Eagles squad to the 2018 World Cup in Russia after initially making the 30-man provisional list but finally made his senior national team debut against DR Congo in May last year.

Esperance heralded his arrival: “It's done! The striker Junior Lokosa has signed a two and a half-year contract with Esperance. Welcome boy!”.
