Ebuehi Called To Replace Injured Omeruo For Brazil Friendly

Tyronne Ebuehi Fit For Super Eagles vs Seychelles Clash

Benfica defender Tyronne Ebuehi has been called upon to replace injured Kenneth Omeruo in the Super Eagles squad for the much anticipated international friendly against Brazil, the Nigeria Football Federation have announced.

Omeruo was injured in action for La Liga club CD Leganes.

The former Chelsea central defender also missed last month’s friendly game with Ukraine as he was then trying to regularise his papers in Spain.

Ebuehi, on the other hand, has recovered from a long-term injury he sustained at his Portuguese club.

Nigeria takes on five-time world champions Brazil at the National Stadium in Singapore on October 13.

It will be the second time both countries will clash at the senior level after Brazil beat Nigeria 3-0 in the first-ever meeting in June 2003 in Abuja.
