Juventus are reportedly plotting a big-money swoop to steal Pep Guardiola from Manchester City, amid reports the Italian champions are unhappy with Maurizio Sarri who could be fired if they fail to win the title for a ninth-straight year.
Last year, the Spaniard was linked with a surprise move back to Barcelona as uncertainty loomed over former Barca manager Ernesto Valverde.
And now, he is being tipped to leave the Premier League champions in favour of a move to Italy.
Of the four major leagues in Europe, Italy is the last Guardiola is yet to taste.
Last summer, the City boss was linked with the Old Lady before Sarri was handed the job.
It was later reported that he had agreed to take over at the end of this season, something he and the club denied.
Now, The Sun claim that the Italian side are plotting a move to get Guardiola away from City.
GoalBall understand Juventus chairman, Anrea Agnelli is now set to make a momentous attempt to sign Guardiola, and will try to get him at the end of the season.
Here’s what a source told The Sun: “Andrea has never hidden his interest in Guardiola.
“Andrea thinks Guardiola will want to come to Italy when it is time to leave England.
“The question is whether this is the time but he will do everything he can to make it possible.”
