Nwankwo Kanu, Daniel Amokachi and other former African superstars have been appointed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to serve as Ambassadors for the forthcoming 2019 African Cup of Nation in Egypt.

The two Nigerian legends have featured for the Super Eagles at the AFCON.

Also, Samuel Eto’o Fils of Cameroon, Didier Drogba and Yaya Toure from Cote d’Ivoire were appointed to serve the African governing body in this month tournament.

The 2019 Nations Cup will kick off from June 21 and July 20 in Egypt with Nigeria open their campaign on June 22 against debutants Burundi.

The Super Eagles are drawn in Group D that has Burundi, Guinea and Madagascar.
