Former Super Eagles star Nwankwo Kanu has urged Gernot Rohrâs men to learn from their mistakes against Sierra Leone, in Fridayâs AFCON qualifier as they prepare for the return leg in Freetown on Tuesday.
A brace from Alex Iwobi and goals from Samuel Chukwueze and Victor Osimhen had put Nigeria in a commanding lead before the visitors staged a comeback to draw the game level.
And commenting on the disappointing result, the legendary Kanu advised the Super Eagles players to now focus on the reverse fixture and make amends.
âWell done boys not the result we wanted 4-4 but thatâs football we learn and move on,â Kanu wrote on his verified Twitter handle.
âWe get ready for the second match and put all right . Wish you all the best.â
Nigeria still lead the group on seven points after sealing two wins and a draw while Sierra Leone are third on two points.
