Newcastle United have signed up midfielder Ki Sung-yueng on a free transfer following the expiration of his Swansea City deal.
Ki, whose World Cup campaign with South Korea came to an end with a 2-0 victory over Germany earlier this week, has penned a two-year contract at St James' Park.
The 29-year-old has spent the past six years at Swansea, as well as a season-long spell with Newcastle's North-East rivals Sunderland, having beforehand made 66 Scottish Premiership appearances north of the border for Celtic.
United have now captured the free agent, making Ki their second signing of the season following the permanent coming of Martin Dubravka.
