Nigeria’s Super Eagles have dropped seven places in the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking.
Gernot Rohr’s men lost twice and drew once in their last three international games, resulting in their dropping from third to fifth in the continent, and 34th globally with 1480 points.
The ranking which was released on Thursday and published on FIFA’s official website, saw Senegal, Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco emerge top four in Africa respectively.
Whereas in the world ranking, Belgium managed to retain their top spot despite being eliminated in the quarter-finals of the European Championship.
Italy moved up into the top 5, just behind EURO runners-up England. Just above that pair, Brazil and France swapped places.
The next FIFA/Coca-Cola Men’s World Ranking will be published on 16 September 2021 on FIFA’s website.
