Congratulatory messages have been pouring in from fans, celebrities and players to Burna Boy after his album, ‘African Giant’, earned a Grammy nomination in the World Album category.
It is the first time the 28-year-old will get a Grammy nomination, and a lot of people couldn’t hide their excitement over his latest feat.
Among the people to congratulate Burna Boy is Super Eagles defender, Leon Balogun. The 31-year old took to Twitter to congratulate the Ye crooner.
The Brighton defender posted on Twitter saying GBESE !!!!! Congrats #AfricanGiant @burnaboy. Despite being born in Germany to Nigerian parents, Balogun has always been passionate about the Nigerian culture.

Recently, he was seen having a conversation with Nigeria’s pop star, Wizkid about how he misses Nigerian food.
Balogun has only featured for Brighton once this season and didn’t get playtime when the Super Eagles took on Benin and Lesotho in the AFCON 2021 qualifiers.
