City would prefer the German to stay in Manchester, however, if how Pep Guardiola used him this season is anything to go by, it doesn’t look all that rosy.

On the other hand, the German international, who arrived at the club in the summer of 2016 for £37m, has rejected numerous offers that was aimed to upgrade and extend his existing contract which runs out in the summer of 2021.

If that’s the case, then Manchester City are not going to risk the 23-year-old running down his contract and move for free. They may perhaps have to sell him sooner rather than later.

Therefore, the Cityzens will make a big mistake by pricing Sane out.

They have Raheem Sterling who plays the same position, with Riyad Mahrez on the right. But the latter is not good when compared to Sane.

Guardiola and the club must find a way of dealing with Sane and find common ground.
