Lionel Messi has reportedly recorded a statement revealing he will continue at Barcelona for one more season.
The six-time-Ballon d'Or winner has been offered a £623million to join Manchester City after handing in his transfer request.
But according to Sphera Sports, the 33-year-old has decided to see out his contract at the Nou Camp.
Messi's father, who is also his agent, jetted to Spain this week for face-to-face talks with the club bosses.
Jorge confirmed the first time on Thursday that the Argentine was considering staying.
When asked whether Messi not leaving was a possibility, he said: “Yes.”
The Laliga giants claim Messi has been on strike after he failed to report for a COVID test and pre-season training.
The forward demanded to leave the club for free after he handed in his transfer request.
But the Nou Camp outfit were certain that the clause in his contract allowing him to leave for nothing has expired.
The incredible offer would have seen the Barca captain earn £14,2000 an hour, £341,000 per day and £2.4m per week.
