Lionel Messi‘s posters have been removed from Camp Nou on Tuesday after the Argentine legend confirmed it was the end of his stay at Barcelona in an emotional presser last week.
After confirmation of Messi's exit from the club, the posters of the Barcelona icon were seen being removed from the front of the club's home stadium – the Camp Nou on Tuesday (August 10).
Videos and pictures of Messi's poster being taken down from the stadium surfaced on social media.
The Argentine legend had joined Barcelona as a kid and spent 17 seasons at the club after making his senior debut at the Camp Nou in 2003.
Messi will go down as one of the greatest to have played for Barcelona.
In his 17 years spent at the club as a senior player, Messi won as many as 35 trophies including 10 La Liga titles and four Champions League trophies.
He won the prestigious Ballon d'Or a record six times – all of which came during his time at the La Liga giants.
