With Shaqiri not proving to be much of a goalscorer for Liverpool last term after his move from Stoke City, Jurgen Klopp might find it inevitable to chase the signing of an attacker again this summer.

The 24-year-old has emerged as an important target for the Reds in the transfer market and Mohamed Bouhafsi has added his knowledge on what has been going on behind the scenes.

As per RMC journalist – in an interview with Get French Football News – Liverpool have intensified their interest in signing £72m-rated Pepe by holding “concrete discussions” with Lille about the player.

“This is an €80m situation. So it is a situation that needs time and calm. What I can say is that there are very concrete discussions with Liverpool.
