Liverpool are ready to submit an increase in offer for Besiktas centre-back Domagoj Vida.
Vida has established himself as one of the most solid centre-backs at the ongoing FIFA 2018 World Cup Russia, helping Croatia to a shock appearance in the final of the competition along with current Liverpool player Dejan Lovren.
Liverpool are understood to have already seen a £15.9m offer for the defender knocked back, but Fanatik reports that they are now prepared to improve on that offer.
The Reds are expected to return with an offer in the region of £17.7m, although that figure is still thought to be some way less than Besiktas's valuation of the player.
The Turkish outfit are allegedly holding out for a fee of £30m having seen Vida make it all the way to the 2018 World Cup final.
The 29-year-old only joined Besiktas on a free transfer from Dynamo Kiev in January, but Besiktas are disposed to moving the defender on if they get a fitting bid.
