Liverpool will now have a fairly winnable game for the first time in a couple of weeks after being dealt with back-to-back big fixtures against Bayern Munich and Manchester United.

Jurgen Klopp’s side were not able to score in any of those games and indeed, the two affairs ended in 0-0 draws, prompting some concerns among those who had tipped the Reds to win the league title.

Roberto Firmino might soon make a return from the injury he suffered on Sunday afternoon but the Brazilian striker will surely not be available for the home match against Watford.

With the South American star not available to be picked by Klopp, Shaqiri is expected to step in for Liverpool, who will be more than eager to put things right and return to winnings ways against the Hornets.

The Reds are just one point ahead of rivals Manchester City at the moment in the title race and look to maintain or extend that lead on Wednesday.
