Liverpool’s Xherdan Shaqiri could be offloaded this summer as the club are keeping tabs on Villarreal starlet Samuel Chukwueze, who has enjoyed a breakout year, as a potential replacement.
The Reds won’t be busy in the transfer market since they’ve already spent big in previous windows.

They will only consent to high-profile moves for players who are clear upgrades on their current starting XI.
Liverpool are, however, keen to improve the options available to Jurgen Klopp within the rest of the squad, and, as per Goal.com, that could see 27-year-old Shaqiri moved on.
The Swiss star only scored six times and assisted five goals in 30 appearances in all competitions, and the Reds want someone to apply more pressure to their existing front three.
Lightning-quick Villarreal youngster Chukwueze has hence emerged as an exciting option, providing both depth and, at just 20 years old, the potential to develop even further.
The newly capped Super Eagles player enjoyed a breakout campaign in La Liga, scoring five times in 19 starts, while he also impressed in the Europa League.
The Nigerian’s versatility would also appeal to Liverpool, given that he has played across the frontline this season and as an attacking midfielder.
