Liverpool Could Swoop For Steven Bergwijn in a ‘Mega Amount’ Transfer

Liverpool Swoop For Steven Bergwijn

Liverpool are one of the clubs interested in Steven Bergwijn.

Bergwijn has been impressing scouts this season, De Telegraaf reported in their Monday edition, and has ‘charmed' sides including the Reds.

In the Eredivisie so far this season the PSV attacker has scored eleven goals and added a further twelve assists, and he's played equally on the left and right side for the club, with a handful of appearances through the middle.

In that respect, he could be a good deputy for Liverpool's front three of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah.

The 21-year -old may be willing for a back-up role and any interest from Anfield would surely be reliant on that.

According to De Telegraaf, he may perhaps break PSV's transfer record, currently held by Memphis Depay's move to Manchester United.

That would mean a transfer at more than £30m, and Liverpool may well be tempted given the player's age and relatively good cost.

Such a transfer fee would be a ‘mega amount' for PSV, say the Dutch newspaper.
