Liverpool’s £33m Deal For RB Leipzig’s Centre Back Almost Done

Liverpool are almost through finalising a deal for RB Leipzig's talented French centre back Ibrahima Konate, according to reports.

Jurgen Klopp has been dealing with an injury crisis all season, with injuries to both Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez, but the Reds are making sure they have the strength-in-depth to cope in the future.

And according to The Athletic, Liverpool have moved to boost their squad by bringing in Konate in the summer transfer window.

If the Reds activate the 21-year-old defender's release clause, which is thought to be around £34million, then they do not need to hold talks with Leipzig.
