Former Nigerian forward, Victor Ezeji says the postponement of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) by the League Management Company (LMC) should have arisen at a point when the league was gradually attracting fans.
Ezeji, who is a veteran in the league and also LMC adviser stated that the discovery of the deadly coronavirus has halted the beautiful game of football in the country.
He noted this on Tuesday during an interview with Brila.net that was monitored by Goalballlive.com.
“Football in Nigeria is best watched with fans around because fans want to watch and we’ve been clamouring for fans to come back to the game and fans have been coming back to the game.
”It’s a sad situation but unfortunately, there is nothing anybody can do about it.”
