Sergio Aguero and all his goals have taken Manchester City to the next level since he joined from Atletico Madrid.
Sadly, all good things come to an end and Aguero will leave City at the end of next season.
City cannot wait until he leaves to find someone to fill Aguero’s boots – Kylian Mbappe is the man to replace him.
Mbappe will dominate the world game in years to come just like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have done.
Signing him would involve some mind-boggling numbers but City would become the most fearsome side in Europe.
Pep Guardiola knows he also needs a new defensive midfielder and left back since Fernandinho is starting to age.
Saul Niguez can replace him.
The Reds’ manager is closing in on an €80m deal to sign the defensive midfielder, having spent the last six months tracking the development of the Atletico Madrid ace.
And at left back, Guardiola has chosen not to rely on Benjamin Mendy to cope with the physical demands of English football.
Ben Chilwell is now Guardiola’s preferred choice at left-back and looks set to test Leicester’s resolve with a bid the Foxes will find impossible to resist.
