There are reports that Manchester City are making a bid for the Sporting midfielder Bruno Fernandes today.
According to its newspaper A Bola, this Tuesday, the Premier League side have scheduled a meeting which will happen in the next few hours.
Sporting director Hugo Viana is the one travelling to Manchester.
He’s the one who will be receiving a ‘formal offer’ once he gets in the city.
There are claims that in the first approaches, Manchester City had shown they could pay €50m.
This time, however, City are ready to go to €70m, although the initial offer will be for the lower figure.
Pep Guardiola’s side reportedly want to avoid the ‘enormous competition’ there is for the midfielder, and that’s why they are trying to do things before the season is even over.
With Paris Saint-Germain F.C. also making an approach for the player, City felt like it was time to move, and now they wait for Viana to arrive so they can make their formal bid.
