When the Premier League returns next weekend, Mikel Arteta will take his Arsenal side to the Etihad Stadium to face his former employers Manchester City.
The last time the two sides met, the Gunners were victorious, with Arteta delivering a tactical masterclass against good friend Pep Guardiola in the FA Cup semi-final.
And while City will be favourites against the Gunners, Guardiola will once again be shorthanded thanks to a swathe of injuries that have curtailed his team’s start to the season.
Sergio Aguero is set to miss the fixture, as MEN Sport reported this weekend, while his deputy, Gabriel Jesus, is also expected to be absent.
That leaves the Catalan coach scrambling to fill the centre forward position.
Oleksandr Zinchenko will also miss the contest, although Ilkay Gundogan and Joao Cancelo could be in contention after missing the start of the season.
