Manchester City will be welcoming Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon.
The Citizens go into the clash with a staggering 14-point gap between themselves and table-topping Liverpool.
But while Pep Guardiola’s side look unlikely to clinch a third successive league title, their form of late has been pretty impressive.
The Sky Blues have now picked up five wins from their last five outings across all competitions.
Crystal Palace, on the other hand, have mustered up just one victory in their previous five PL outings, although, three of those matches ended in draws.
Ahead of the Palace clash, City boss Guardiola has spoken about two of City’s long-term injury casualties.
Aymeric Laporte has been out of action since the back end of August after the Frenchman picked up an injury in the game against Brighton.
Leroy Sane has also missed the majority of the current campaign after suffering an injury in this season’s Community Shield game.
And while the duo don’t sound as though they will be back for Saturday, Guardiola did give fairly positive updates on the pair when speaking on Friday:
“Yes, positive. Leroy is still not training with us but everything is going really well.
“Aymeric made another week with us training.
“Everyone else is more or less fit, yeah.” As quoted by Manchester City’s official website.
