Man City vs West Ham At The Etihad Stadium Cancelled

Manchester City have called off their Premier League game with West Ham due to Storm Ciara.

The storm is wreaking havoc on the sporting schedule with high profile events called off as extreme weather batters the UK.

Football, rugby and horse racing have all been wiped out by the 90mph gale force winds that have prompted the Met Office to declare danger to life Amber alerts.

The sold-out Women’s Super League encounter between north London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham is among the events.

Other WSL games suspended are Birmingham vs Brighton and Bristol City vs Reading.

The women’s Six Nations match between Scotland and England has been postponed with Scottish Rugby saying efforts would be made to rearrange the fixture.

They said: “Safety of travelling fans, players and venue staff was the priority. Discussions are underway around rescheduling the game.”
