Man United Drops Kieran Trippier Chase, To Prioritise £45 Million Star Instead

Man United Signing of Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Manchester United will be shifting their interest towards Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who has been identified as their ideal alternative for Kieran Trippier.

As per the Mirror, the Red Devils could set their sights on Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka following increasing complications over their pursuit of Spurs right-back Kieran Trippier.

It is understood that United could find it hard to negotiate a deal with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy over Trippier’s potential sale this summer.

But, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer pressing United hierarchy to conclude their transfer activity early, Wan-Bissaka, seems as an appealing alternative to Trippier.

The Red Devils have had challenges over their lack of depth in the fullback area for the past couple of years.

And those problems could increase as Antonio Valencia is departing this summer while it is understood that Solskjaer does not hold the young Diogo Dalot at high regard.

Hence, both Trippier and Wan-Bissaka are viable options for the Premier League giants. But, making a move for the latter would make more sense from the Red Devils’ perspectives for multiple reasons.

Wan-Bissaka is presumed to cost about £45 million, which is significantly more than Trippier’s reported valuation of £30 million.
