Manchester United lost to Crystal Palace in their opening Premier League game of the season and Red Devils fans are desperate to see Ole Gunnar Solskjaer strengthen his defence.
Unfortunately, the United boss reportedly does not plan on signing a new centre-back in the closing weeks of this summer’s transfer window.
Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof struggled against Palace’s pace on Saturday with the Eagles winning 3-1 at Old Trafford.
According to The Athletic, Solskjaer’s side did not view centre-back as a priority for the market and there is no change in that strategy despite Saturday’s defeat.
The report adds that the Red Devils have been offered players who could boost the back-line though other position are of more immediate concern to Ed Woodward and Co.
United have been constantly linked with a move for Jadon Sancho though club legend Gary Neville would rather see his former club improve their defence.
