Man Utd Chief Ed Woodward Name Players He’ll Sign From £100m Pogba Sale

Despite frequently insisting that he remains a part of his plans, Manchester United boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may have no choice but to give up Paul Pogba at the end of the season.

According to Starsport, United chief Ed Woodward is looking to cash in on Pogba this summer for £100m, following comments from his agent Mino Raiola that he is eyeing a return to Italy.

“Italy is like home for Paul,” the super-agent said.

“He would not mind going back to Juve but we will see what will happen after the Euros. Paul wants to play at the best level.

“The question was is he happy. You cannot be happy if you are not competing for the title or for the Champions League. The aim is for every top player to do that.

“For now he is concentrated on his recovery the next period is important for him and Man Utd to try to get into the Champions League then the European Championship and then we will see.’

United could use the cash they make from selling the French superstar to bring in Tottenham stalwart Eric Dier, and Leicester’s James Maddison.

Their first port of call could be Dier, whose current contract expires in 2021, and Old Trafford bosses think could be tempted to leave north London this summer.

Maddison is hotly tipped for a move to Old Trafford, but they would likely need more than £100m to land him as well as Dier.
