Manchester United's hopes of signing their No.1 target for the summer Jadon Sancho are officially over.
The Red Devils have been chasing the 20-year-old all summer long.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have made several approaches for the England winger over the last few months, all of which have been firmly rebuffed by the Bundesliga side.
Dortmund were adamant Sancho would only leave the Signal Iduna Park if their £108million asking price was met.
United – who have suffered signifcant financial losses as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic – refused to play ball and hoped Dortmund would return to the negotiating table before deadline day.
Dortmund, however, stood firm, much to the disappointment of many United fans.
And the Old Trafford faithful's hopes of seeing the Borussia Dortmund ace make a last-gasp move to the Theatre of Dreams have officially gone up in smoke.
That's because the German transfer window shut at 5pm BST time (6pm CET time).
The Red Devils' failure to land Sancho has seen them miss out on their No.1 target for the summer.
