A bid for Kalidou Koulibaly has been submitted by Manchester United which would make the Napoli star the most expensive defender in world football.
According to Corriere dello Sport , United are ready to smash the world transfer record for a defensive player with a £100million offer, having already seen a bid worth around £88million rejected.
The 27-year-old is widely regarded as one of the best centre-backs in the game, and he has long been linked with a move to the Premier League.
Real Madrid are also said to be looking at a potential summer deal for the Senegal international.
