Facundo Pellistri was one of four deadline day signings at Manchester United, alongside Edinson Cavani, Alex Telles and fellow teenager Amad Diallo.
And Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is considering immediately integrating the new signing into the club's first team squad following his €10m arrival from Penarol.
The 18-year-old also predominantly plays on the right-hand side of the attack just like Jadon Sancho (whose signing didn’t go through) and could be called upon by Solskjaer sooner rather than later.
Solskjaer rates Pellistri highly, describing him as “a real talent for the long term” upon his arrival, and having spoken about him with former United stiker Diego Forlan, his ex-manager at Penarol.
Pellistri's progress has been extensively monitored by United since he first came to the attention of the club's South American scouts over three years ago.
“To join a club with the history of Manchester United is a dream come true. I have learnt a lot at Peñarol and I would like to thank them for everything they have done for me,” Pellistri said.
