Manchester City have announced the signing of PEC Zwolle youngster Philippe Sandler.
City have only made one first-team signing this summer with Riyad Mahrez joining from Leicester City, but Sandler arrives at the Etihad Stadium with the prospect of being involved in the upcoming campaign.
Sandler has made his name as a centre-back, but the Premier League champions could use the player as a backup in the holding-midfield role should they not make another addition over the next 10 days.
The Dutchman leaves Zwolle having made a total of 30 starts in the first team, with 22 starts coming in the Eredivisie last season.
The 21-year-old has also represented the Netherlands at Under-20 level.
