This morning’s Manchester United Transfer News claims that the club are getting ready for the possible event that they will have to sell Paul Pogba after his latest crack with Jose Mourinho by setting his market value.
Pogba was told by Mourinho that he will no longer be considered as a captain after his blunder and lack of focus cost United a win against Wolves last weekend. With United apparently siding with the manager, the World Cup winner looks set to leave.
But the big hurdle is another club meeting the asking price. While Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and Juventus would be eager, the Mirror suggests that United want in excess of £200 million for the player.
At such a price, United could struggle to sell the French midfielder out-and-out. Paulo Dybala is unsettled at Juventus, and with Federico Bernardeschi blossoming, Man Utd might be open to a swap deal.
