Romelu Lukaku will not be playing for Manchester United when they take on Bournemouth this afternoon by 13:30 pm.
The Belgian was dropped from the side for United's victory over Everton last Sunday and he was not named in their squad for the lunchtime kick-off.
That is as a result of the injury he picked up in training yesterday afternoon and did not travel with the squad.
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho hinted that the 25-year-old, who has scored four goals in ten Premier League games this season, would have started had he been fit.
‘'In training yesterday, after the press conference, he felt something that needs to be studied in the next couple of days,’' Mourinho told BT Sport.
‘'So Lukaku has not come and we decided to start with Alexis [Sanchez].’’
The Chilean will start in the middle of the front three alongside Anthony Martial and Juan Mata as United look to make it back-to-back victories.
