Chelsea Striker Leaves For Germany To Complete Permanent Bundesliga Switch

According to Sky Sports, Chelsea striker Martell Taylor-Crossdale has travelled to Germany and is set to conclude a permanent transfer to Hoffenheim.

Taylor-Crossdale, a past winner of the Under-18 Premier League golden boot, seems to have opted against extending his contract with the Blues.

It has become the case in recent seasons for young English players to leave their native land in search of greener pastures in the Bundesliga.

Jadon Sancho has been the most successful in Germany, with Arsenal’s Reiss Nelson also reaping the rewards from taking the plunge.

Sky Sports reports that Taylor-Crossdale is hoping to follow in their footsteps, with Hoffenheim, who housed Nelson last season, the destination.

As with all Chelsea academy players who make the decision to leave, Taylor-Crossdale is hoped will be back in blue at some point in the future.
