Mfon Udoh has reportedly moved away from the life of a bachelor on Thursday to marry his long-time girlfriend just days before the commencement of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Super Six playoffs, that’s according to Sport247.
The Akwa United striker holds the record of the highest number of league goals scored in one season – having bagged 23 goals in the 2013/14 season.
The former Enyimba captain is also the joint-top scorer of the just-concluded regular league season with 10 goals and the first to get to double figures this season.
Despite starting the abridged version of the league with a 1-0 defeat at home to relegated El-Kanemi Warriors, Akwa United still topped Group B to qualify for the playoff in Lagos State – where they would be competing for a continental ticket and the league trophy.
Akwa United will face Kano Pillars in their opening game at the Agege Stadium on June 4.
