Former Chelsea midfielder, Mikel Obi will reportedly earn $1,637,330 at Trabzonspor in the 2019/20 league season, making him one of the highest-earning players at the club.
The Super Eagles captain joined the Turkish club during the summer on a free transfer and will earn in the region of $31, 000-a-week.
Mikel signed a two-year contract at the club with an option of another one-year extension.
Announcing the figures, Trabzonspor Vice President of Finance, ErtuğrulDoğan, stated that the club signed 16 players during the transfer window, with four of them including Mikel, joining on a free transfer.

Former Liverpool forward Daniel Sturridge will also receive the same wage as Mikel at the club in his first season.
